Elegancy paints a woman in a draped black slip dress, seen from the collarbone down, one hand resting at her hip against a plain warm-grey background. The mood is fashion-editorial rather than romantic — confident, a little cool, entirely composed. It suits anyone who wants a chic, wall-worthy piece with real attitude.

What you'll paint

The black dress carries most of the detail, its satin folds built from layered charcoal, near-black and soft highlight tones that need patience to get the sheen right. Skin and background stay simple by comparison, in warm tan and flat grey, which balances out the fabric work. It's a moderately detailed piece — the challenge is really just in the dress, everything else moves quickly.
