Sleepy Tiger
Rolled canvas (38 × 58 cm) · Medium difficulty
Sleepy Tiger
Sleepy Tiger paints a tiger dozing on a patterned cushion, one huge paw stretched forward, in a jungle of pink, magenta and turquoise. Oversized flowers crowd the corners, and the mood is lazy and warm, like a long afternoon nap. It is a playful, colour-drenched piece for anyone who prefers their big cats at rest.

Framed or rolled?
Jumbo kits arrive stretched on a wooden frame, ready to hang. Classic kits are rolled canvas — paint them flat, then frame however you like.
What you'll paint
Orange, amber and cream stripes cover the tiger, edged in deep navy lines, while the background bursts with tropical leaves and oversized pink and coral flowers. The cushion has a woven pattern in red, teal and blue that is fun to paint stripe by stripe. The brushwork looks loose and textured, and the shapes are bold, so this is a medium painting: plenty of different colours, but each patch is easy to see. The finished canvas is high in energy though the subject is gentle, and the closed eyes and relaxed paw are the quiet centre of all that colour.
